UHEI ESR Valentina Montoya gave a talk on the 22th July about astroparticle physics and cosmology at the “LA-CoNGA Physics” course.

“The dark matter student lecture had as its main objective to give some tools to understand dark matter production mechanisms, and to do so we made the way from cosmology to detection. We talk briefly about the thermal history of the universe and we describe the Boltzman equation for any species in the early Universe. We construct such an equation for dark matter in the freeze-out frame and describe how the interactions may affect the evolution of the density. Finally we mention the types of detection and focus the attention on direct detection”
