Invisibles23 School and Workshop

INVISIBLES23 SCHOOL:

The Invisibles23 School will take place in Bad Honnef from August 21st to August 26th, 2023. It preceeds the Invisibles23 Workshop which will take place in Göttingen, Germany, from August 28th to September 1st, 2023.

The Invisibles23 School is organized by the Horizon 2020 Marie Curie ITN network HIDDeN,which continues the series of “Invisibles” events started in 2012 (Horizon 2020 Marie Curie ITN network Invisibles, Horizon 2020 Marie Curie ITN network Elusives and the Horizon 2020 RISE network InvisiblesPlus)

REGISTRATION HERE: Please register before June 12th.

The school is primarily intended for PhD students. Since the number of participants is limited, applications from PhD students will therefore be favored. Master’s students and young postdocs are nonetheless welcomed to apply.

Several tutorial sessions will be organized, where students will further discuss the topics covered in the lectures within an informal environment. Moreover, a poster session will take place during the school, students are thus encouraged to bring and present their own posters.

This year’s topics center around hidden symmetries and hidden particles as well as ways to discover them.

Lecture topics include:

· Perspectives of multimessenger astrophysics - Maurizio Bustamante

· Group theory for model building - Mu-Chun Chen

· Phase Transitions - Djuna Croon

· Anomalous symmetries - Joe Davighi

· Experimental techniques for DM and neutrino detection - Jocelyn Monroe

INVISIBLES23 WORKSHOP:

The Invisibles23 Workshop is organised in the context of the Horizon 2020 funded project HIDDeN and Horizon Europe Programme Staff Exchange project ASYMMETRY.

REGISTRATION HERE: Please register before July 2^nd.

Talks are by invitation only, except for PhD students: they are welcome to apply during the registration process to participate in the PhD forum with a 5 minute plenary talk complemented with a poster on the same subject. Everyone is also welcome to request a poster contribution.

If you want to present a poster and a short talk, submit an abstract here. Submission deadline: June 30, 2023. As the place for posters is limited to 60, we may have to choose among the submissions in case of too many requests.
